About
netzSINN Sitemap helps search engines find and understand the important pages on your Joomla website.
It creates ready-to-use sitemaps automatically — no manual work needed. Google and other search engines can discover your content faster and keep it up to date in their index.
At the same time, you can provide a clear HTML sitemap for your visitors.
Why use netzSINN Sitemap?
Get your pages discovered faster:
XML sitemaps tell search engines exactly which URLs exist on your site — so they find new content without waiting.

Create sitemaps automatically:
The component reads your Joomla menu structure and builds the sitemap from it. No manual URL lists, no maintenance.
Improve your site structure for SEO:
An HTML sitemap gives users a clear overview of all your pages — useful especially on larger sites.

Offer better navigation for visitors:

Control what appears:
Choose which menus and links belong in a sitemap. Pages marked as noindex are excluded automatically.

Keep performance under control:
A built-in cache delivers your sitemap to search engines instantly, even on large sites. A warning alerts you when your sitemap grows beyond a size you define.
Manage more than one sitemap:
Create separate sitemaps for different sections of your website — for example one for the main site, one for a blog.

Work comfortably in Joomla:
All settings are in the familiar Joomla administrator area. Nothing to configure outside Joomla.
Effortlessly oversee your sitemap:

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
An XML sitemap is for search engines — it tells them which pages to crawl. An HTML sitemap is for your visitors — it gives them an overview of your content.
No. Everything is managed from the Joomla backend with familiar fields and buttons.
Yes. You can create and manage multiple sitemaps — for example one per language or one per site section.
Yes. You control which menus are part of a sitemap. Pages with a noindex setting are excluded automatically.
When a search engine visits your sitemap, the component saves the result. Repeat visits are served from that saved file until the cache expires — or until you save changes in the editor, which clears
the cache automatically. You can also clear it manually with a single button click.
Not if you enable the cache. For very large sitemaps you can also set a maximum number of links. Pages are taken in menu order, so the most important pages are always included first.
No. Image sitemap support is not part of the current version.
